Champagne Pop | Review

It was really only within the last year that I started investing time and money into the highlight and sculpting scene. Until late July, I solely used drugstore brands to achieve this makeup technique and trend. Most drugstore products were fine; they did the job, but were a bit chalky and the payout wasn’t the best. While swapping my usual shelves of Target for those of Sephora and swatching every visible surface, I eventually fell in love with one highlighter in particular- Jaclyn Hill’s Champagne Pop. It was then I knew I needed to invest in this glistening luxury.

Everyone and their mother knows of this highlighter because of how gorgeous it is. The hype is honestly completely justified. Despite this highlighter being a pressed powder, it is extremely creamy and buttery with no hint of chalkiness. That in mind it just goes onto the skin so nicely. With only one brush or finger stroke of this formula, it creates a radiant glow. The result just catches the light so beautifully. This product is also highly pigmented and bendable. It makes for the perfect shimmery yet sheer coverage. It is also the type of product that would look natural and stunning on a variety of skin tones, too! Though this highlighter is expensive at a whopping $38, I still say it’s worth it for the quality. And, too, a lot of product does fit into that pan! Regardless, I'm absolutely in love with Champagne Pop, and am so pleased to have incorporated it into my daily routine. Definitely a fave product at the moment!

Have you tried Champagne Pop? What's your current favorite highlighter?

  7. I haven't tried this product. I'm a bit "scared" of highlighters and bronzers. I really want to try them but I think I'm not going to be able to apply them properly no matter how many youtube tutorials I watch!
