Mini MAC Haul

Taupe // Brave // Pink Plaid

Do you ever just go into a store that you really shouldn't be splurging in, due to the outrageous prices, and just say "f*** it" and buy too much? Because same. That was exactly the scenario when I decided to spend $51 on lipstick, for only three mind you, in one go. Despite that dropping of cash, I am very pleased with my purchases. Whenever I'm at MAC I have the tendency to gravitate and purchase the bolder colors; however this time around I stuck to more subtle and nude tones, good for everyday use. Due to that, I cannot regret this mini haul.

Of the three, this is clearly the darkest one. Nonetheless it is still a nice brown-ish deep nude to wear any day. With it being a matte finish, this lipstick lasts for hours on end. You really can't go wrong with this one. Just a fyi, lately many MAC stores have been out of Velvet Teddy (thanks, Jenners); however Taupe is a similar alternative.

Brave (satin)
Brave is one of those lipsticks you hear everyone talking about, and I can completely understand why. It is a beautiful shade with a nourishing finish due to it being a satin. The longevity on this one is also long, but not quite like a matte finish. Out of the three purchased, this is the one I tend to go for day-to-day because it honestly complements any look!

Contrasting Brave, I'd say this is a lesser known MAC shade. When I found this, though, I was jumping for joy! In my lipstick collection I really only have about two true pinks, but even then they're relatively dark, so when I found this oh so pretty pink, I knew I had to buy it. In the swatch above it shows as much darker than what it actually it. Pink Plaid is a natural-medium and somewhat vibrant pink. Again, this matte finish is stunning and lasts for hours. If you're looking for a more muted and subtle pink, this is the lipstick for you!

So far I've gotten a great deal of use out of each of these. No doubt these beauts will snag a few spots in my "favorites list;" especially as the warmer months approach and I retire the bold lip. If you're looking for shades remotely like these, I highly recommend the gorgeous lippies above! These are absolutely perfect for all year round and will simply not disappoint.
