Styling Cap Toe Heels

You know those Chanel slingback heels? Love them. They give me Elizabeth James vibes from "The Parent Trap." Very classic and chic with one heck of a price tag to match. While I won't be splurging on the real deals anytime soon, luckily there are plenty of heels out there with a similar color combo and cap toe.

Mine happen to be from J. Crew. They have a closed back, which I prefer. Overall, they are so very elegant and classy, and I can't get enough of styling them. Cap toe heels are very much a shoe that can be styled casually and can elevate a look. Below are a few of my favorite ways to sport them.

Monochrome

Nothing says simple and chic like a monochrome look. For this outfit, I've paired an oversized LOFT sweater with some black jeans. To give a more fitted look, I've tucked in the front of the top. This provides a bit of contrast in the outfit by showing off the leather belt and metal buckle. While the colors coordinate, there is a variety of textures between each piece, providing a bit more interest. A monochrome set can be used to draw attention to a particular piece, as well; in this case these cap toe heels! They are the star of the show. Overall, going monochrome is a surefire way to end up with a smart chic outfit, even if is comprise of a comfy sweater and jeans!

Business Casual

This may be my favorite outfit in this post. It is a tad dressy with the blazer paired with more casual elements, like denim and linen, to create a sort of biz casual look. The blazer was thrifted for $6 and has such a lovely structure and linen fabric. It is the dream outer wear for a light academia aesthetic. Just beneath, I'm sporting a basic bodysuit from Amazon. This piece is perfect for adding a more fitted touch to an outfit. The jeans are my faves from Target, as they are a lovely wash and so comfortable. Accessories are kept simple with some pearl earrings and a black envelope clutch to tie in the cap toe accent.

Two-Toned

Similar to the first outfit, this look is comprised of simple elements- a sweater, belt, jeans, and quilted bag. To play to the contrast of the heels, I've incorporated that into the top and bottoms. I opted for a cream cashmere mock neck sweater paired with those same black jeans. Again, to give a more fitted look, simply tucking in a top can make all of the difference. While this outfit is simple in nature, it does create a polished look!

Which is your favorite outfit?

Sincerely,
