Moroccan Sea Salt Spray

OGX’s Moroccan Sea Salt Spray is one of my go-to products at the moment. My hair naturally has a loose wave to it; however I’m always looking to make that more distinct and consistent. In the past I would have pulled out my curling wand to get that wavey look, but not anymore. As someone with fine fragile hair that gets damaged easily, constantly resorting to curling was not the healthiest nor smartest option. In efforts to repair my damaged hair, I’m avoiding heat at all costs, so to have found an alternative to get the look I wanted through the use of sea salt spray was a godsent.

The Claddagh Ring

Do you have an item that you feel incomplete without? An item that you just cannot leave the house without having on you, aside from your phone because let’s be real that never leaves any of our sides. For me that one item is my Claddagh ring. Putting this antique and meaningful gem on has become just as much apart of my daily routine as doing my makeup and hair, brushing my teeth, etc. Alarm beeping in the morning, I’ll flop my arm over to my night stand, grab it, and put it on. This Claddagh ring is a daily essential.

e.l.f. Eyebrow Kit

Before I get into the review of this product, I just want to apologize for the inconsistency of my posting already! With time I will figure out where blogging can fit into my busy schedule. Nonetheless, I will try my best to come up with decent content daily; however if I'm lacking inspiration or feel as though a post is too forced, like yesterday, I will refrain from posting in efforts to retain some standard on le old blog here. Anyway, onto the review.

Spring Fever

The weather in New England has been wacky lately. One day it’s beautiful out and in the 60s; next it’s snowing, like today. This constant back and forth keeps toying with my mood. More than anything at the moment I’m yearning for that consistently nice weather. And lacking it has left me feeling restless, and we all know what restlessness means around this time of year- Spring Fever. These past few weeks the Fever has been running rampant campus-wide. Everyone around is showing symptoms; myself being no exception. Due to this I want to share a few remedies, in case you, too, have come down with Spring Fever.

Blogging Everyday

I am all for spontaneity. That is why this morning I decided to challenge myself creatively. To push my blogging limits. This morning I decided I'd blog everyday for the month of April. Though I'm off to a great start by having missed two days (lol), much like with Blogmas, I do have a game plan and am semi-prepared for the rest of this month. Blogmas undoubtedly required a tremendous amount of work; however it was still one of the best times I've had blogging yet. I finagled a way to involve the blogging process into every day, and to do something you love everyday is a very special thing. I was simply content from putting out loads of content.

New Handbag, New Me

After my trusty two year old black bag from Target started falling apart, I thought it time to be on the hunt for a new one. A month and some change ago, I naturally popped into Target and ended up finding the bag of my dreams. Generally for everything I stick with the basics; however with this bag I'm pushing myself beyond that comfort zone. This time around I've opted for a bag a bit more trendy and preppy.

The First Day of Spring

I’m always a sucker for fresh starts, so when specific days roll around, I jump to use them as a starting point. That was the case with today seeing as it is the first day of spring. With that I turned to my trusty notepad to jot down different tasks I wanted to complete today in order to start this spring off right. My theme for this season is making the most of whatever environment I’m in, having fun and learning to be spontaneous, self-care, and working towards turning my dreams into reality. With this little list I created and completed today, so far I’m accomplishing each of those overarching points.

Sandal Wishlist | Target

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7

With the temperature slowly but surely climbing and consistently getting warmer, nothing but spring and summer are on my mind. However, the dramatic reversion back to a cold snowy day today has made my already blazing spring fever spike. Naturally on a crummy day I resort to going to my happy place- shopping centers. One of my stops today included one of my favorite stores of course- Target. There I was overwhelmed with the new selection of shoes they have showcased for the upcoming season.

Learning to Leap

I absolutely should have posted this on Leap Day and as a Motivational Monday, but you know, school is a thing. For some, Leap Day is just another day. For myself it would’ve been just that if I hadn’t tried to draw inspiration from it. This inspiration came from the fact that I treated Leap Day like any other day; nothing special. However I should’ve treated it differently. After all Leap Years only occur every four years and that’s pretty special. Beyond that every day is special. And I haven’t been treating my time as such. As I thought more about this I realized I’m stuck in the middle ground between a rut and where I want to be: that monotonous space where you’re just going through the motions and not really living. Me being me, of course that won’t do. I long to live life to the fullest, so I aim to make changes that will allow me to do so. I aim to take leaps.

How To Wear White Pants in Winter

Winter isn't over yet (unfortunately)! Just the other day it snowed at my uni, which means winter clearly wants to hang around for a bit longer. Good news for us fashionistas, this means for a bit longer we can play around and style white pants in a way appropriate beyond the pre-Labor Day days into those that are cold. Rather than having put my white pants away after Labor Day like most, I decided I'd extend their usage year-round by adopting the trend of 'winter whites.' And oh boy, have I been loving it! White pants have no doubt become a staple of mine these last few months. Though I can't wait to style them for spring, I'll enjoy incorporating winter whites into my wardrobe now.

The Maybelline Blushed Nudes Palette

Soooo it’s been well over 2 months since I’ve reviewed any products… oops. During this time, I have tried many new items; one of them being the Maybelline Blushed Nudes palette. Typically for reviews I share my thoughts on products in paragraph form; however I’m trying something different today by doing so in bullets. Frankly, I prefer reading bullets because they’re clear and to the point. But that’s just my personal preference. Hopefully you like this new format, too!

All Things Interior

It was only recently when I noticed that some of my most popular posts are those related to interior design; specifically my style. Given that, I thought it appropriate to create this post. Even past the increased page views, what gets me most excited about having posts focused on interiors be well-liked is receiving queries or compliments regarding them. If you know me at all, you know how much I love design and decor. Basically any chance I get to discuss my personal interior style and aesthetics gets me bubbling; especially when others share the same enthusiasm! Below you’ll find how I class my style, where I find inspiration, and tips in achieving my look.

3 Valentine's Day Desserts

Being a blogger, naturally I have to exploit the fact that Valentine's Day is right around the corner with a themed post. Originally I had intended on creating a makeup tutorial, but having seen how many are springing up, I opted to do something I've never done before, nor intended on doing for a while- make a baking video. Filming a baking video for one recipe is so difficult, let alone for three; especially when you only have yourself to rely on. That being said, apologies that this one isn't spectacular. I'll work towards improving for future videos!

Even so I did really want to share these recipes with you because they are so delicious and sweet. And they each include Oreos!! Hopefully this will inspire you to get into the kitchen and bake! :)

How I Style Over The Knee Boots

It wasn't until this past winter season that I welcomed a beautiful pair of over the knee boots into my ever growing shoe collection. Contrary to popular belief, over the knee boots are actually incredibly easy to style. Though they are certainly something trendy and a statement piece, there are distinct ways to align all that they are to your personal style. The outfits below are a representation of how I style over the knee boots and how they fit into my own style.
